چکیده

The strain dependence of the apparent activation energy desorption H2O on epitaxial, TiO2-terminated, out-of-plane polarized, BaTiO3(100) thin films has been investigated using X-ray diffraction, photoelectron spectroscopy and temperature-programmed desorption. increases significantly with in-plane strain, suggesting that strain-induced ferroelectric distortion determines strength chemical bond between dissociatively adsorbed water surface.

Regularity Properties of Equilibrium Configurations of Epitaxially Strained Elastic Films

We consider a variational model introduced in the physical literature to describe the epitaxial growth of an elastic film over a rigid substrate, when a lattice mismatch between the two materials is present. We establish the regularity of volume constrained local minimizers of the total energy, proving in particular the so called zero contact-angle condition between the film and the substrate.

effect of oral presentation on development of l2 learners grammar

this experimental study has been conducted to test the effect of oral presentation on the development of l2 learners grammar. but this oral presentation is not merely a deductive instruction of grammatical points, in this presentation two hypotheses of krashen (input and low filter hypotheses), stevicks viewpoints on grammar explanation and correction and widdowsons opinion on limited use of l1...

Plane-strain bulge test for thin films

The plane-strain bulge test is a powerful new technique for measuring the mechanical properties of thin films. In this technique, the stress–strain curve of a thin film is determined from the pressure-deflection behavior of a long rectangular membrane made of the film of interest. For a thin membrane in a state of plane strain, film stress and stain are distributed uniformly across the membrane...
